LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of
Tony Ramirez as the department's equipment manager.
Ramirez arrives at UWA after working two years at Division I Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. Ramirez served as the equipment manager for NU's football, men's and women's soccer, women's ice hockey and baseball programs.

Brophy. “His years of experience and expertise in the area of equipment for all sports will be a welcome addition as we strive to improve our Athletic Department in every way.”
Prior to his time at NU, Ramirez was the head equipment manager for Team Arkansas of the All American Football League. Ramirez has also served as head equipment manager for the Birmingham Steeldogs of the Arena 2 Football League and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Ramirez received his B.S. in Political Science and History at UAB in 2003 and A.A. in Criminal Justice at Jefferson State Community College in 1996.
