Women’s Tennis Ranks No. 6 in ITA National Tennis Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the NCAA Division II Tennis National Team, Singles, and Doubles Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point. The Tigers are ranked No. 6.
 
In doubles play, Haina Franco and Ming Deewajee ranked No. 11.
 
Franco is also ranked No. 18 in singles play. Heden Ly is ranked No. 60 and Yurie Takanishi is ranked No. 62

"The women have continued with their great year," head coach Jeff Beaman said. "We are excited for regionals and to play against the best of the best."
 
The Tigers are 19-5 overall.
 
West Alabama enters the NCAA Division II South Regional Tournament as the No. 6 seed. The Tigers face No. 4 seed Lynn for the first round, Monday afternoon. The first serve is set for noon, at the Buccaneer Tennis Center in Miami Shores, Florida.
