The 2023-24 Women's Rodeo team secured their second consecutive National Championship in 2024. The Tigers initially qualified for the College National Finals after winning their third consecutive Ozark Region Championship. UWA's Taycie Matthews was a major piece to West Alabama's championship team as the Barrel Racer won the National Championship in the Barrel Racing event for the second consecutive season. Matthews' horse, Poprocks, was named the National Horse of the Year while Lauren Booty secured a reserve National Championship in the Breakaway Roping to cap off a special run for UWA Women's Rodeo.
